Varied Reaction to AirTran Incident

Posted on Monday 29 January 2007

There was a good deal of discussion this week on the story of the three-year old.

This is an emotional topic as evidenced by all of the posts on this subject.

Reaction ranged greatly. One side saw this incident as another reason to call for a Passengers Bill of Rights. As Chris Elliott writes, the call for a passenger bill of rights has gotten new life following the American 8-hour tarmac wait a couple of weeks back.

At the same time there is a moderate point of view that sees the challenges airlines face and offers suggestions on how to better manage children in these situations.

There is also a vocal group that applauds AirTran’s decision and is appalled by the parents’ lack of control.

What’s your take?
