US Airways just put out a press release saying that its bid to merge with Delta Air Lines has been withdrawn.
Kudos to Delta management. Now all they face are the challenges of emerging from bankruptcy and getting to profitability in as short a time as possible. On another positive note for Delta, they secured $2.5 billion in financing as part of their exit from chapter 11 protection.
